QUESTION #1
It is good to see this portion of the Young Reformers up and running. Let us begin the discussions. Question #1 to consider and respond to;
"If God chooses before the foundation of the world who is His and who is not, why witness?"
This is a common question you will hear from the Arminian camp, guys/girls, how would you answer this?

I agree with Josh - we are clearly commanded to witness to others. And even more, we have this privilege to play a role in bringing glory to the sovereign and almighty God! How amazing is that? He does not NEED us, yet He loves us so much that He invites us to participate in His glory!
The very thought of this question bothers me! Not that you (Pastor Tom) brought it up, but that the Arminian camp tries to use it as a valid argument. It shows a blatant disrespect for the word of God! If the Bible says that “He chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love” (Ephesians 1:4 NIV), and it also says that we are to be a witness in a lost and dieing world (See Josh’s post for scriptural evidence), then both are true. The Arminians are, in essence, attempting to use the Bible to disprove itself! The message of the Bible needs to be taken as a whole. One cannot and should not take one verse and pit it up against another to disprove it. If two verses say what seems to be a contradictory thing, then the way one is interpreting one or both of the texts is wrong. The Arminians need to get off their self righteous high horses and understand that without the work of God in their lives they would still be face down in a cesspool of spiritually dead humanity.

P.S.
I like what you all are doing with this website and the whole Young Reformers Fellowship. Keep up the good work.
You are right on target! The fact that He told us to should be plenty. But he is glorified in the sharing of his word and in the proclaiming of what He has done, it doing and will do.
